Accent Media's administrative and production offices are located at 1350
Beverly Road, McLean, VA 22101, Suites 213 and 218. Our administrative
offices in Suite 213 are served by networked computers and printers and
Xerox copier. We have 12 telephone/data lines, two fax machines, and high
speed DSL internet access. Office software includes Acrobat, Bulk Mailer,
Excel, FastTrack Schedule, Filemaker Pro, Internet Explorer, Labelmaker,
Outlook Express, Peachtree Accounting, Word, and WordPerfect.
Our production packages include Sony BVW 300 and D30 Betacam SP cameras,
fluid head Vinten tripods, portable monitors, professional cases,
wide-angles lenses, Anton Bauer digital battery system, an assortment of
Lectrosonics wireless, Tram, EV, Sony, and Sennheiser broadcast microphones
with a portable Shure mixer, and supporting cables, power supplies, etc. We
have six light kits ranging from 1000 watts, to interview kits, to small 100
w camera lights. .
We also offer a Sony PD 150 DVCAM camera package with fluid head tripod and
Steadicam Jr., as well as a Nikon 35 mm, Nikon Digital, and Polaroid cameras
used for casting, production stills, and location scouting. Audio recordings
are made digitally on a Sony DAT recorder with professional microphones, or
direct to videotape..
Our Avid Xpress digital nonlinear editing system provides uncompressed video
and real time 3D. Plugins include Boris Effects, Digital Film Tools, etc.
Backups are on floppy, zip, DVD Ram, and Jaz drives. Other formats we have
in-house include CD, CD-ROM, audio cassette, DV, DVCAM, VHS, S-VHS, Regular
and Hi 8, Laserdisc, DVD, and 3/4" Umatic. Media Cleaner Pro is used to
create Real Video and Real Audio for use on the internet, and the Ccaption
system creates close-captions..
Our DV edit suites include one Avid Xpress DV system, and one Final Cut Pro
system. Narration is recorded in our broadcast audio recording booth. Audio
is sweetened and mixed on our Digidesign Protools HD Digital Audio
Workstation. Graphics for print, CD¹s, DVDs, and the web are created on a
graphics workstation with Dream Weaver, Illustrator, PhotoShop, PowerPoint
Quark, and Illustrator..
Print and Web materials and graphics are created on Macintosh G4
workstations running Dream Weaver, Illustrator, PhotoShop, PowerPoint, and
Quark Xpress, Epson and Alps color printers are used for proofing and small
color printing runs. Large copying and printing jobs are outsourced..
